David Pitney | Oil we or won't we?

As of this moment oil makes this country go. I personally do not have a problem using a natural resource that God has so graciously provided for us. The United States is an industrial society. We make "stuff". We consume "stuff". We do not apologize for being born in the richest, most successful country in the world. So what if we use more oil than any other country. I really don't care!

Now for where we get our precious commodity. Say all you want about wars that are about oil. The real "war" over oil should be fought here not in the Middle East. We have vast reserves of crude sitting under US owned soil. There is more than enough in Colorado, off the coast of California, in the Gulf coast and yes, of course, in Alaska. We could be completely rid of our dependence on any source of foreign oil should the pathetic, whining, titsy fly loving, tree hugging liberals in this country allow us to, one, drill for the crude and, two, build additional refineries. But what about the environment (OH Boo, Hoo, Hoo)? Just in case any one checks, ANWAR is a big huge piece of ice! Nothing lives there! By definition a wild life refuge requires wild life so the liberals named a sheet of ice ANWAR so we would all be tricked into believing God's creatures roamed free and peacefully here. What a joke! We all need to wake up and pull the wool off of our eyes. As a side note the horrible, terrible pipeline has actually lead to an increase in the Caribou population due to the heat it provides. (Bet you did not hear that from a liberal!) Look I believe we should work to protect what God has given us but God gave us the earth to use. The Bible tells us to be good stewards but that does not mean we should go to an extreme and not take advantage of the gifts we have been given. My final rally cry is "put down your guns and take up a drill." Lets chain our liberal friends to their favorite tree while we go get "OUR" oil. God Bless America!
