According to a story on ABC News, the North Pole could become ice free this year. I really can hardly stand to talk about the weather idiots any more, but I'd like to point out a couple of things:
1) I just saw Al Gore running by my house with a canoe over his shoulder. Wasn't this supposed to cause a calamitous rise in sea levels that would swamp and destroy much of the inhabited coastal areas of the world? This isn't mentioned at all in the story.
2) There is almost no hoopla given to the fact that more new ice formed this winter than last. If it doesn't fit the global warming story, just underplay it.
3) Does this mean I'm not getting anything for Christmas?
