Eliot Angstead In a story from FoxNews, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas complained bitterly about a lack of follow-through on behalf of the U.S. administration to try to bring substantive peace to the Palestinian/Israeli region. As a modern conservative, it is sometimes difficult to think of the Israeli's as wrong and the Palestinians as right, but in this case it is the truth.

Simply ignoring the agreed-upon "road map" to peace, the Israeli's continuously infringe upon the area designated for the Palestinian state, bulldozing Palestinian settlements and causing continuous friction. In fact, the United Methodist Church just recently threatened to pull its money from Caterpillar because they were allowing their equipment to be used in this foray into Palestinian lands.

And the worst part of this is that it show Bush for the hypocritical leader that he is. Israel knows it can do absolutely anything, including destroying the U.S. peace plan, and Bush will just sit back and wink at them. If we truly want to try to bring peace to this area of the world, we have to address villainy no matter which side we find it on.
